Lamotrigine is used in combinationĀ with other anti-seizure drugs forĀ the treatment of partial seizures, tonicclonicĀ seizures and seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. It is also used aloneĀ for treating partial seizures in patientsĀ 16 years and older when converting fromĀ other anti-epileptic drugs. LamotrigineĀ also is used for preventing mood episodesĀ in individuals 18 years or olderĀ with bipolar disorder.
