Health is About Treating the Whole Patient Not Just the Disease<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1948, the World Health Organization defined the concept of health as follows: \u201cA state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity\u201d (WHO 2018). This definition suggests that the patient should be evaluated from a very broad perspective. However even today, it is still difficult to say that this is actually done, especially for the follow-up of chronic and complex illnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
